Steven's Story
I went to school in Albany NY, where I majored in Atmospheric Science. Upon graduation, I taught High School Science at Cocoa Beach High School for almost a year. But, wanting to be in my field of study, I went to work for the National Weather Service. That took me all over the US. After a short, initial stint in Amarillo, TX, I was promoted and moved to Elko, NV. While in Elko, I was trained as an Incident Meteorologist (about 75 of us...Expand for more
in the world) and ran the Fire Weather program for about half of the state of Nevada.
After about 3 and a half years, I was transferred to Binghamton, NY, where i worked for another 3 and a half years. Then in 2012, I was asked to transfer down to Miami, Fl as a Senior Forecast and run the Fire Weather program for South Florida.
Who knows where my career will take me next!
I have been married for almost 17 years and have 5 children.
